Second largest in the nation, the Los Angeles Unified School District enrolls more than 429,000 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. The District covers 710 square miles and includes Los Angeles as well as all or parts of 25 smaller municipalities plus several unincorporated sections of Los Angeles County.
Los Angeles Unified educates and empowers all students as future leaders. Families can choose from neighborhood schools, magnets, dual language, charters and other educational options.
Our school communities are supported by dedicated professionals who ensure the safety and success of our students and school-site staff. Discover the offices that support teaching and learning, and keep the District operating.
