DEADLINE TO APPLY AND MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IS MARCH 1 FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION (ECSE) & APRIL 1, 2018 FOR ALL OTHER SUBJECTS.
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) District Intern Program is an Alternative Teacher Certification Program accredited by the State of California with a history of successfully training educators to provide effective instruction to all students in urban settings.The District Intern Program is tuition-free for all participants.District Interns complete a carefully designed course of study taught by highly qualified, experienced Instructional Facilitators. Interns are also assigned experienced like-credentialed Mentors who support and guide them throughout the Program.The District Intern Program is fully accredited as a teacher training institution by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). More than 12,000 teachers have earned their teacher certifications with LAUSD.
