Dual Language Early Learning Pilot Programs
A 50:50 Dual Language early education pilot program implemented in ten sites last year will continue through 2019-2020 school year. The program is a split day model (50% Spanish or Korean; 50% English – mornings all Spanish or Korean, afternoons all English) or vice versa.

Urgent: New Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training
The Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training California website team in association with the California Department of Social Services have developed a new online training for child care providers, working in a licensed child care facility. The new Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers does now satisfy the requirements of AB 1207.

Dyslexia Awareness
Dyslexia is a language-based disability that exists on a continuum and is characterized by difficulties in learning how to read fluently. Students with Dyslexia can also experience difficulties with oral language, spelling, and writing skills..
