News from the CTC!
Recently, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing released new guidance on the Basic Skills and Subject Matter requirements for California Credentials. Please know that these requirements have NOT been waived.
Basic Skills and Subject Matter remain requirements for issuance of a California Credential. What has changed is that the Commission is now permitting additional means of meeting those requirements (outside of the CBEST and CSET exam). This information is summarized here. More detail is available here. If you have questions, please reach out to us at recruit@lausd.net.
