GED ® Update
Since 1942 the GED® was the ONLY test that lead to a High School Equivalency Certificate.
In March 2014 the CA State Board of Education approved TWO NEW exams to
replace the GED®, the HiSET® and the TASC®.
LAUSD now offers the HiSET® (High School Equivalency Test).
If you pass the HiSET® you will earn your
California High School Equivalency Certificate.
Visit the following websites for more information about the two new
High School Equivalency Tests.
These websites have many resources for test takers. Most are FREE!
