Salary Rating-In Waiver for Related Services

The Los Angeles Unified School District (the District) and United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) have agreed to consider granting credit for years of experience for rating-in on the Special Services Salary Table for new hires beginning July 1, 2015 for the positions of Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist, and School Psychologist as follows:

 

  • New hires in the above-listed positions with one (1) year of previous experience shall rate-in at Pay Scale Level 2 on the Special Services Salary table.
  • New hires in the above-listed positions with two (2) years of previous experience shall rate-in at Pay Scale Level 3 on the Special Services Salary table.
  • New hires in the above-listed positions with three (3)  years of previous experience shall rate-in at Pay Scale Level 4 on the Special Services Salary table.
  • New hires in the above-listed positions with four (4)  years of previous experience shall rate-in at Pay Scale Level 5 on the Special Services Salary table.
  • New hires in the above listed positions hired during 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 school years shall be rated-in in accordance with the requirements specified in sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 above beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
