Los Angeles Unified Announces Two Significant Community Partnerships
Los Angeles Unified announced two new partnerships Thursday, both aimed at preparing students for college, career and life.
A workforce development partnership between Los Angeles Unified and Los Angeles World Airports will prepare students for well-paying careers in the aviation, construction and hospitality industries.
Los Angeles Unified will also be providing all high school seniors and their families with access to financial literacy education through a new effort with City National Bank and the California Council on Economic Education.
“These initiatives are model programs that will help prepare our students for college, career and life,” Superintendent Austin Beutner said. “’The All In for Public Education’ effort we started this year aims to create a stronger connection between the communities we serve and our local schools. These two programs reflect that work. We are grateful for the support of our business, civic and philanthropic partners who are working with us on these efforts.”
