    LAUSD District Intern Program is no longer accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year.  To apply for the 2019-20 school year, please note the deadline to apply and meet minimum requirements for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is February 1, 2019; all other subjects due March 1, 2019.

    The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) District Intern Program is an Alternative Teacher Certification Program accredited by the State of California with a history of successfully training educators to provide effective instruction to all students in urban settings.
     
     
    The District Intern Program is tuition-free for all participants.
     
     
    District Interns complete a carefully designed course of study taught by highly qualified, experienced Instructional Facilitators. Interns are also assigned experienced like-credentialed Mentors who support and guide them throughout the Program.
     
    The District Intern Program is fully accredited as a teacher training institution by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). More than 12,000 teachers have earned their teacher certifications with LAUSD.
