Safe Steps to Safe Schools

  • Los Angeles Unified COVID-19 Vaccinations

Los Angeles Unified is continuing our efforts to ensure a safe return to school for both the students and teachers.

Vaccinations are a critical piece of the puzzle and Los Angeles Unified stands ready to provide the access to our teachers, administration and families of students we serve.

Los Angeles Unified has a proven track record of stepping up to some of the most complex challenges and delivering results. Since the start of the pandemic last year of March 2020, Los Angeles Unified has provided more than 100 million meals along with 18 million items of much-needed supplies to the communities we serve.

In the same way that schools throughout the pandemic have provided students and their families with food, computers, internet access and COVID testing, our schools are equipped to do the same with the distribution of vaccines. Los Angeles Unified has the location, experience and technology to safely and efficiently administer vaccines to faculty and the greater community.

  • Los Angeles Unified COVID-19 Vaccination Sites

Los Angeles Unified has taken an important step toward reopening school classrooms by expanding our COVID-19 vaccination program for all employees in Los Angeles Unified. Vaccinating school staff is a critical part of reopening school campuses in the safest way possible.

We’ll continue to work with State and local authorities to increase the number of doses provided to Los Angeles Unified in the days and weeks ahead, but until that occurs we will prioritize vaccinations for those already working at school sites and people who work with our youngest learners and students with learning differences and disabilities.

While all Los Angeles Unified employees will, over time, be eligible to receive vaccinations through our program, this does not mean you cannot access the vaccine in other places and you should feel free to do so.

The vaccination scheduling system for eligible Los Angeles Unified employees can be found at dailypass.lausd.net. An email notification will be sent to eligible employees to schedule an appointment.
