Los Angeles Unified students, staff, parents and partners champion their communities every day.

One of the many strengths of Los Angeles Unified is the rich cultural diversity of our students. We celebrate this diversity in the dual language program throughout our District. This week we recognize Mountain View Elementary School teacher Nune Arakelyian for bringing singing, dancing and endless enthusiasm into the classroom every day. Nune's love for teaching and her Armenian heritage provide her students with unique, engaging and memorable experiences in the classroom.

Los Angeles Unified is seeking your help to tell the stories of our extraordinary school community – whether they are students, employees, alumni or family members – who make us believe in the power of public education at Los Angeles Unified. They are LAUSD Champions!

We would like to celebrate exceptional accomplishments. We want to highlight those in our school communities doing great work. We'd like to recognize the hard work and progress of teachers and students in the classroom. We want to spotlight employees who exhibit leadership, excellence, school and community engagement, as well as commitment to our students and school communities.
