iTunes U is an educational content delivery system that enables teachers to deliver instructional materials to students through iPad tablets, iPhones, and iPod Touch devices. Teachers can create courses and post related multimedia content, which students access via Apple login accounts
. The tool is free to the District and makes sharing of interactive educational content possible without the need for a lot of technical know-how.
LAUSD on iTunes U Course Manager is a subscription service specifically for LAUSD educators providing an easy way to design and distribute complete courses featuring audio, video, books, presentations, documents and more. To create a course, simply gather all the materials you need and follow the easy step-by-step instructions in the iTunes U Course Manager. Courses can include a syllabus, handouts, quizzes, multimedia such as audio and video files, and a great deal more.
