Middle School Full Implementation of the Grades Six Through Eight Preferred Integrated Model Begins 2018-2019
The District has selected the Integrated Model described in the California Science Framework (2016) to replace the current grade 6-8 core science courses. All middle and span schools are expected to select the new integrated science courses from MiSiS for the 2018-2019 schoo year.

High School Three Course Model Pilot for 2018-2019
The Division of Instruction has planned to transition all high schools to the Next Generation Science Standards 3-Course Model in Fall 2019. A pilot of the 3-Course Model in the 2018-2019 school year for schools who elect to implement the entire 3-Course Model is available.
