What is Arts Integration?

Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form.  Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.

To develop, promote, and implement a compreshensive standards-based visual and performing arts education program available to all students at all grade levels.

Our Vision

The Visual and Performing Arts are an integral part of the District's comprehensive curriculum and are essential for learning in the 21st century. All LAUSD students, from every culture and socioeconomic level deserve quailty arts learning in dance, music, theatre, visual and media arts as part of the core curriculum.
