    Secondary Music Teachers:  The Arts Education Branch (AEB) is providing a full day of professional development for music on October 2, 2018 at Sci-Arc.  Teachers will engage in workshops on new methodologies, best practices, and innovations in both choral and instrumental music.  The AEB will cover the cost of subs.  To register and for more information, please contact Christopher J.   • Secondary Opportunity: Free bus and tickets to see The Children of Willesden Lane

    Secondary Teachers: The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust in partnership with the Hold On To Your Music Foundation, Facing History and Ourselves, the Music Center, and LAUSD presents the Los Angeles Willesden Read 2018, which is a multi-layered program that includes performances of Mona Golabek's The Children of Willesden Lane at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.  In order to have access to curriculum and materials and also to procure a bus and seats for the musical, interested teachers must register to attend the October 13 workshop at lamoth.ticketleap.com/willesden-read-professional-development-teacher-training.  Please contact Katherine Semel, Director of Museum Tours, at LARead@lamoth.org or (323) 651-3704.
