  • September is Attendance Awareness Month

    Local District Central and so we are kicking off this year’s Attendance Awareness Month with the following activities:
    ▪ Wear GREEN ​on Thursdays​ in September to promote school attendance
    ▪ Wear a GREEN r​ibbon pin throughout the month of September

    ▪ Attendance Matters Day for Schools is Friday, September 7th
    ▪ Attendance Poster Challenge (LD Central’s 3​rd​ Annual Attendance Poster Challenge)

  • Bridge to Reclassification (BTR)

    For the first time, 7-12th grade students under Profile D will also have an opportunity to take the RI, and qualify for reclassification. Thus far, Local District Central has the greatest number of students eligible for this milestone step. BTR period will be September 11 -18, 2018. BTR designee identified at bit.ly/2018-19 RI Designee

  • Local District Central LCAP Study Group​

    Parents participating in the LCAP Study Group will learn about District programs, funding and data to support student attendance, achievement, and safety, along with the other LCAP goals. Members for the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) will be elected from the Local District LCAP Study Group. The first meeting of this study group will take place Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Rosemont Avenue Elementary from 9:30am -11:30 am.​ Parents will self-select or be selected at their school sites and should be willing to attend the orientation and 4 additional study session programmed by the LDC PACE unit.

  • LD Central’s 3​rd​ Annual Attendance Poster Challenge!

    The Local District Central Pupil Services team, in collaboration with, Operations is sponsoring its 3rd annual attendance poster challenge. Teachers can use the poster challenge as an opportunity to promote and reinforce attendance in their classroom. All participants will receive a certificate. Winners will be selected by school level (Elementary, Middle School, & High School). Schools will receive a trophy and will be recognized in LAUSD - LDC Communications.


    Submissions ​due September 21, 2018.
    Winners ​will be announced October 2, 2018.

  • SSC and ELA Certification

    Friday, September 28, 2018- SSC and ELAC Certifications are due in the Principal’s Portal- Parent and Community Services page.
