Health Education Focus Areas:1. All teachers have been trained and are fully implementing research-based curriculum on violence prevention (Second Step Grades K-8) and ATOD prevention.2. The required STD/HIV prevention-education for middle and high schools is taught by a credentialed health teacher using the District-adopted programs Positive Prevention curriculum.3. Nutrition education is taught as part of the health education curriculum via the LAUSD-adopted textbooks for K-12.
