All school mail and outgoing U.S. Mail are processed through the Mail Unit. Interoffice or school mail is sorted and placed in mail bags for next day delivery. U.S. Mail is pre-sorted, bar-coded, and sent to the U.S. Postal Service for delivery. Postage for First Class and Non-profit Permit Mail are paid through a central postage account. All mail is picked up and delivered daily by Truck Operations.
Mail Pick Up and Delivery ScheduleTruck Operations’ drivers provide mail pick-up and delivery to schools and offices on a modified service schedule of twice a week between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. until further notice (see below to find out mail delivery days). Mail received at the Mail Unit, Procurement Services Center, prior to 4:30 p.m. is sorted and processed the same day. If a regular pick up is missed, outgoing mail may be brought directly to one of the two below Mail Unit locations.
