Child Abuse Reporting

All District Employees, with actual knowledge or reasonable suspicion of child abuse/neglect, shall report instances of suspected child abuse or neglect, by telephone immediately, or as soon as practically possible, to an appropriate child protective agency and shall prepare and send a written report thereof to the same child protective agency called within 36 hours of receiving the information concerning the incident.It is the responsibility of all staff to protect students from abuse and neglect by becoming knowledgeable about abuse and neglect, its indicators, filing mandatory suspected child abuse reports as required, and cooperating with one of the following child protective agencies below:Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS): (800) 540-4000
