SECONDARY UPDATE: WINTER 2018 - Bridge to Reclassify
LD South is implementing an innovative program to provide an additional reclassification opportunity for students who only need RI to reclassify. The selected students can enroll in the Reclassification Acceleration Program focusing on improving reading comprehension. At the end of the program, the students will have an opportunity to complete the RI assessment. Students in profile C with 650 or higher on the Fall RI are eligible to participate.
Upon meeting all reclassification criteria, students will be able to reclassify and be able to take other a-g course in lieu of their ELD course.
Schools have to provide minimum of 8 hours of intervention. The window for testing is:
- Testing window – Monday, February 5, 2018 – Friday, February 9, 2018
In addition, students who did not get a chance to take the RI in the Fall will also be eligible to take the test during this window.
