  • The Student Health and Human Services (SHHS) Division provides a comprehensive array of services that support student achievement and success in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Together, each department plays an important role in reducing barriers to success for students by ensuring their health physically, mentally and emotionally. The departments that comprise Student Health and Human Services are:

    • Community Partners and Medi-Cal Programs
    • District Nursing Services
    • School Mental Health
    • Pupil Services
    • Student Medical Services
    • In addition, the Division works closely with the Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health, an independent nonprofit affiliated with LAUSD.

Collectively, these units supplement instruction to create a safe and welcoming environment for the district’s children to learn and grow.
