L.A. UNIFIED STUDENT AND FAMILY WELLNESS CENTERS
L.A. Unified operates Student and Family Wellness Centers throughout the District including School Mental Health Clinics, the School Enrollment and Placement Center (SEPA), and School-based Health Centers/Clinics. Families who experience food or housing insecurity, lack of clothes, employment, or health coverage can access basic need resources at no charge through our Student and Family Wellness Hotline at (213) 241-3840. Our Student and Family Resource Navigators are also certified health insurance enrollment counselors.
SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH CLINICS
Provide individual and family therapy for LAUSD students of all ages. Mental health services for students are provided through tele-health (on-line) as well as in-person. This is not a crisis response service center. If you or your child needs immediate support (is an immediate threat to the safety of themselves or others) please contact 911 for assistance. You can also contact the LA County Department of Mental Health 24hr hotline at (800) 854-7771.
To schedule an appointment, please contact one of our School Mental Health clinics or Wellness Center in your area. School Mental Health clinic services are offered Monday - Friday - 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

SEPA provides medical services, health, and social services resources to students and siblings. Serving all populations free of charge, with or without insurance.Services include:
- Assistance with the School Enrollment process
- Physicals/School Entry Exams/Sports Physicals
- Immunizations and TB testing (for students/volunteers)
- Enrollment in Health Insurance Programs
- Mental Health Services (Crisis Counseling & Agency Referrals for students and adults)
- Support with all related school matters

School-Based Health Centers are staffed by L.A. Unified school physicians and nurse practitioners who see only students and their siblings. Families can receive help with enrolling their children into Medi-Cal to receive services. These clinics are “assessment only.” They perform physicals and give required childhood immunizations, but do not provide continuous care for patients with chronic conditions. Reproductive health care is available at certain locations.
