Message from Interim Superintendent
Thank you for your support of the work we do in Los Angeles Unified.
We have much to do to help our students, families, and school communities heal and accelerate learning.
At the same time, we also have a unique opportunity to transform the way we think about public education, improving the outcomes for many of our current and future students. It’s these possibilities that I’m most excited about. I believe that a good education should not be a privilege, but an opportunity afforded to all.
With one-time federal and state dollars, we have the ability to operate our schools with much-needed resources and supports to properly serve students.
We will seek input from all stakeholders to develop a plan that will allow us to highlight the innovative ways of teaching and learning in our system, and ultimately work with you to select and integrate the things that work best.
Throughout this process our commitment to equity remains steadfast. Our model will allow schools to tailor solutions to the needs of specific students and to innovate in ways we never have before.
Together, we will redefine how we deliver the high-quality education all students deserve.
