Ms. Catherine A. Duong, LD East TK-12 Social Emotional Learning Adviser
It is an honor to serve our LD East TK-12 schools in all of our Communities of Schools as your Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Adviser.
SEL is a critical area that can help our students navigate their daily experiences as a student and human being; apply the SEL Competencies in their future careers; and, more importantly, utilitze these SEL skills for the entirety of their lives.
According to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
