• District Permit Office

    The District Permit Office has the responsibility for processing and preparing license agreements and permits for the use of district facilities by third parties.

    The California Education Code, sections 38130 through 38139 (Civic Center Act), mandates that every public school facility within the State of California be made available for use as a civic center for use by the public, and the LAUSD makes its public school facilities available for use by the public under the Civic Center Act.

    All uses of District facilities by third parties must be authorized by a written agreement or permit issued by the Board of Education or their authorized designee prior to such use.

    Application

    Users wishing to request the use of District facilities should download a Request for Facilities Use, complete it to the best of their ability, and submit it by email to facilities-use@lausd.net, or by mail or in-person to:
