    Financing Your Postsecondary Plans

    L.A. College Promise Scholarship


                                                                                      

    The Los Angeles College Promise provides graduating L.A. Unified or charter high school students with: 


        •    ā€ÆOne-year of free full-time enrollment for first-time freshmen ā€Ø
        •    ā€ÆFree summer orientation programs to prepare for college  ā€Ø
        •    ā€ÆPriority enrollment in math and English classes   ā€Ø
        •    ā€ÆAcademic and career mentoring  ā€Ø
        •    Other benefits vary by LACC campus, such as free/low-cost textbook loans  
 

     

    Steps to apply: 


        1.    Apply to one of the L.A. Community Colleges ā€Ø
        2.    Complete the Los Angeles College Promise Interest Form   ā€Ø
        3.    Complete the FAFSA, CADAA, or the State Fee Waiver Application  ā€Ø

     

    California College Promise (AB 19), Formerly known as the Board of Governors Fee Waiver, provides students with one year of free tuition and fees.  To be eligible, students: 


        •    Must be first-time college student   ā€Ø
        •    Attend a California Community College   ā€Ø
        •    Apply for financial aid   ā€Ø
        •    Complete Assessment, Orientation and Counseling/Educational Planning   ā€Ø
        •    Enroll full-time (12 or more units)  ā€Ø
