L.A. College Promise Scholarship
The Los Angeles College Promise provides graduating L.A. Unified or charter high school students with:āÆ
• āÆOne-year of free full-time enrollmentāÆfor first-time freshmen āØ
• āÆFree summer orientation programs to prepare for college⯠āØ
• āÆPriority enrollment in math and English classesāÆāÆ āØ
• āÆAcademic and career mentoring⯠āØ
• Other benefits vary by LACC campus, such as free/low-cost textbook loans āØSteps to apply:āÆ
1. Apply to one of the L.A. Community Colleges āØ
2. Complete the Los Angeles College Promise Interest FormāÆāÆ āØ
3. Complete the FAFSA, CADAA, or the State Fee Waiver Application⯠āØCalifornia College Promise (AB 19), Formerly known as the Board of Governors Fee Waiver, provides students with one year of free tuition and fees.āÆāÆTo be eligible, students:āÆ
• Must be first-time college studentāÆāÆ āØ
• Attend a California Community CollegeāÆāÆ āØ
• Apply for financial aidāÆāÆ āØ
• Complete Assessment, Orientation and Counseling/Educational PlanningāÆāÆ āØ
