Student Support and Progress TeamThe purpose of the Student Support and Progress Team (SSPT) is to ensure students’ needs are addressed and provide a method to evaluate the effectiveness of school-wide Tier I systems and practices, including instruction and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS).The SSPT offers a systematic approach to close opportunity and achievement disparities among student subgroups by building on existing services that respond effectively to unique student needs using a whole child approach. The SSPT seeks to achieve the following goals:1. Support students in acquiring linguistic, academic, behavioral, and social competencies2. Assist schools in enhancing collaborative and supportive cultures for all stakeholders

Principal Certification for SSPT
Principals can now certify their SSPT teams on the Principal's Portal at https://principalportal.lausd.net.
SSPT AdHoc Reports in FOCUS Reporting and Dashboards
New Student Support and Progress Team (SSPT) Ad Hoc Reports are now available on Focus Reporting and Dashboards. The reports provide school and district level data on the number of SSPT meetings at each school site by ethnicity, language status, referral type, and by month. School leadership teams are encouraged to progress monitor their monthly SSPT meetings at https://achieve.lausd.net/focus.
Set Up Email "Alert" for SSPT Referrals
Principals can now set up an email alert for their SSPT Designee, upon a teacher making an SSPT request. To set up the email alert, visit the MiSiS website at https://achieve.lausd.net/misis. Click on Job Aids - Student Support (Counseling and Discipline) - Referral Email Setting.
