Resource Fair

     4th Annual Resource Fair Registration

Division of Student Health and Human Services, Pupil Services, hosted our 4th Annual Resource Fair, entitled “Integration is the Key to Student Success” on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the California Endowment.  The event, which targeted LAUSD staff and collaborative partners, showcased LAUSD departments, programs and resources, as well as community agencies that provide services to students and families. The goal was to assist participants in identifying, connecting and networking with LAUSD programs, local agencies and other service providers.

Over 250 participants from across the district had access to information from over 70 district programs and community agencies.  They also had the opportunity to attend informational sessions from LAUSD’s School Mental Health, Nursing Services, Community Partnerships, Beyond the Bell, Parent Community and Student Services, Pupil Services and Attendance and the Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health.  Participants took home a Resource Directory with detailed information of all the agencies that participated, sorted by geographic area and by types of services provided.  A counselor from LD South, present at the event appreciated the “diversity of the vendors” and thought the event was “great for networking and learning about resources”.  The hope is that participants will be able to leverage the tools, resources, and information received from the fair at their school sites in an effort to further eliminate barriers to learning.
