For all charter schools not located on District sites, the District is requesting that charter schools submit a Certified Accessibility Plan which outlines the transition at the school site to eliminate barriers to program accessibility.
The transition plan needs to be completed prior to the start of the 2018-2019 school year.
The District is not requesting that all work to achieve the goals of the Certified Accessibility Plan is completed by any specific date.
Rather, only the plan itself must be completed prior to the start of the 2018-2019 school year. Please consult the attached (Attachment I, Facilities Information, item #4) for additional information.
In order to support you with this request, the Charter Schools Division is setting up a monthly workshop for charter school operators on facility access compliance on the first Tuesday of each month starting in March and ending in August
