    The Mobile Dairy Classroom brought agriculture to Huntington Park Elementary on February 20th.  The assembly teaches how milk and dairy foods are produced and how they contribute to healthy eating.  Café LA Ray joined in on the fun!

    Wellness

    On February 13th the Central Coordinated Health and Safety Committee met to establish recommended resources and strategies to support schools implement the Districts  wellness plan. The committee consists of parents, principals, school nurse, community partners (Dignity Health, LA Trust for Children’s Health, Beyond the Bell) and District Administrators. Partners from Food Services invited our special guest Cafe LA Ray!

Ray taste tested new food items with student at Maywood Academy!

 
  • Café LA Ray and students at Maywood Academy had the opportunity to taste test some new possibilities for next year's menu. Besides tasting the new items, they get to give us their feedback, which helps us make better choices.  Some of the items tasted included: Cheesy Burger Sliders, Spaghetti Bowl with Tomato Beef Sauce, Philly Steak Pinwheel, Egg & Cheese on A Whole Grain Bun and Pillsbury Filled Crescent Grape.
