2018 Los Angeles SEL Conference: Transforming Practice
-
May 24, 2018
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
The Beyond the Bell Branch (BTB) of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is proud to announce the dates for our 2nd Annual Social Emotional Learning Conference on May 24, 2018. Last year we had over 300 students and teachers participate in a daylong conference where they learned from fellow teachers and students what promising practices are being used in classroom across the district. This year we are looking to expand the number of participants as well as the scope of workshops being offered.
