Multi-Tiered System of Supports
Evidence-Based Practices
Evidence-based practices incorporate universal screening and progress monitoring. Educators plan collaboratively to deliver instruction seamlessly across a continuum of layered interventions and supports to move students fluidly through the tiers. Evidence-based practices include Universal Design for Learning, culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy, inclusive school practices for students with disabilities, and support for students identified as gifted and talented.

What is dyslexia?
Dyslexia is an unexpected difficulty in reading for an individual who has the intelligence to be a much better reader. It is most commonly due to a difficulty in phonological processing (the appreciation of the individual sounds of spoken language), which affects the ability of an individual to speak, read, spell, and often, learn a second language.
