STUDENT-LED SCHOOL VISION
We believe that when students are empowered to participate in the governance of their school, they will develop a strong sense of identity, advocate for themselves and others in sophisticated ways, and affect positive change in world. Therefore:
Through active involvement in school decision-making, and with the trust, respect, and support of administrators, teachers, and parents, students will assume shared ownership of theirown learning and behavior in an inviting environment.
Students will develop an undersatnding of community and civic engagement, thereby igniting their sense of duty to participate in public service and in local, state and federal government.
Students will culminate from their school with the knowledge that they can be agents of change, and with a deeper understanding of and belief in the power of democracy.
