The Division of Instruction in Los Angeles Unified School District is dedicated to providing rigorous instructional programs for all students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve.  The core instructional program offered in the district address all components of STEAM based on the following standards:

    • California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for science and engineering

    • California Content Standards for Mathematics (CCSM)

    • California Visual and Performing Arts Framework

    • Standards for International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) for technology.

Schools identified with STEM or STEAM pathways integrate these components appropriately. The Division of Instruction is working with local districts and schools to refine the integration of these elements to provide students with rich learning experience to prepare them for college and career.
