"On the first day, I attended "Room To Rise: The Lasting Impact Teen Programs in Art Museums." A nice chartered bus took us to the Whitney Museum of American Art. Of the 30 attendees, I was the only classroom teacher in the group. I found this session quite thought provoking. After introductions, the coordinator of the Whitney teen programs discussed programs, financial issues, outreach, longevity, and more." - Susan Weinman, Art Teacher, Nightingale MS.

CompuMaster’s Conference for Adobe Photoshop Users, Anaheim, CA, November 9, 2016

"...attending the conference made me look at other options for tools and how to get the right job done with the right tool. This has cut down my work time a lot. This will help my students focus more on creativity rather than technicality of producing art in Photoshop." - Patricia Corona, Visual Arts Teacher, South East HS

CAEA Conference, Palm Desert, CA, November 4-5, 2016

"I was looking for ways to change up my lesson routine so I thought that this conference would be a great opportunity. I happen to love the “make and take” workshops where they sit you in front of some great new supplies and then they let you go at it." - Kim Baylyff, Elementary Visual Arts Teacher

"The most inspirational session that I attended was called The Photograph as a Primary Source Document...This session provided an overview of curriculum developed in conjunction with the classroom teacher and museum educator and highlighted the work of photographer, Dorthea Lange...The lesson that they highlighted started with Visual Thinking Strategies but then went deeper in exploration by using the photograph like written text and questioning that dove deeper into the moods, feelings, and artist intent and really highlighted photographs as clues into history." - Jessica Williams, Arts Integration Specialist, LD W

NAEA Convention, Chicago, IL, March 17-19, 2016

"The conference modeled for me how to collaborate on lesson and assessment designs integrating the new Common Core standards. I worked with teachers and professionals from other districts across the country to develop arts integration instructional methodologies, skills, and assessments during the conference to align with gathered student assessment data. Networking with educators, researchers, and vendors provided a foundation for future professional growth by extending my community of connected teaching and learning." - William Pasderin, Secondary Visual Arts Teacher, Bravo Medical Magnet HS
