In response to the Board Resolution to “Create a Collaborative to focus on the Middle Grades,” a Learning Group was formed in the spring of 2016 to explore topics relating to middle school. The group, consisting of District leaders, parents, teachers, and community partners, was open to the public. Participants attended sessions to develop their own understandings of the middle grades, and to provide notes and recommendations that were utilized to develop a framework for collective action. This framework was presented to the Board in June, 2016. Session materials were posted after each event, and may be found by clicking the links below.
