Vision:
*Modified from the California Physical Educaton-Health Project's (CPE-HP) definition for physical education.
Updates:April 2, 2020Physical Fitness Test (PFT)There have been a few questions on the topic of the required Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for grades 5, 7, & 9 (Fitnessgram assessment).
From the Office of Data & Accountability:
We understand schools cannot continue to administer the PFT, but schools should enter PFT results into MiSiS (PFT Mass Entry Screen) for students that were tested prior to the school closures on March 13th.
Regarding Elementary Physical Education Minute Certification:
The California Department of Education has informed us that the District should provide physical education as part of distance learning. Please refer to the Continuity of Learning section of this website: achieve.lausd.net/PE and LAUSD Elementary Schoology group for resources to support instruction in physical education through distance learning.
