Grant Opportunity For Teachers To Fund Classroom Supplies
Chevron’s Fuel Your School program is returning to select cities in and around the South Bay Area of Los Angeles County this October. This program can help teachers in your district get the supplies they need for eligible classroom projects.
This fall, the Fuel Your School program will support public education by helping K-12 educators receive funding for eligible classroom projects through DonorsChoose.org, an online organization that organizes funding for schools across the country. DonorsChoose.org will use the donations to help fund eligible classroom projects. Projects are funded on a rotating basis by the order in which they are received and posted on DonorsChoose.org.How it works
Throughout the month of October, Chevron will donate $1, up to $500,000, when consumers purchase 8 or more gallons of fuel at participating local Chevron and Texaco stations in select cities in and around the South Bay Area of Los Angeles County to help fund eligible classroom projects. You can even track the progress of funded projects in your city and county at http://www.fuelyourschool.com/?loc=Los%20Angeles%2C%20CA&zip=94583.
The Fuel Your School program can help make a big impact for our students and their future. Effective education, including science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), can foster bright young talent for the future workforce and healthy economic growth of our local communities, and our country.
