Website OptionsSchoolsSchools have three options for their website needs. Please see a short description of the website options provided for schools below. For more information, please refer to the Website Policy (BUL - 2424.3)Default Portal Page (Find-a-School)Every LAUSD school site - including all comprehensive pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school sites; dependent charter schools; continuation schools; options schools; and special education centers - has a default port page that provides basic information about the school. This is commonly referred to as the Find-a-School page.
A school can choose to rely on the default portal page as its primary source of information or use a third-party solution to host content for their school site.Third-Party Solutions for Schools: School Loop (Free of Charge)Some external organizations offer web services free of charge to public schools. For example, School Loop offers a basic tool kit for schools to create a web presence with basic information - free of charge to our schools. If this option is chosen, a request can be made to post your school URL on Find-a-School to let people know you have a website beyond the portal page.Third-Party Solutions for Schools (Cost Associated)Schools may have interest in having a site developed with more sophisticated functionality. Many of our schools use services such as Edlio, Education Networks or School Loop Plus, which are third-party companies that provide services such as content management and hosting for reasonable fees. Currently, using such services is by independent agreement between the school and the entity, and schools are permitted to budget for and purchase these services. If this option is chosen, a request can be made to discontinue any duplicate websites your school may have previously had, and request your current school URL be posted on Find-a-School to let people know you have a website beyond the default portal page. For more information on school websites, please refer to the Website Policy (BUL - 2424.3)

The Website Services Team within ITD manages accounts for each location and can assist in 1) providing account access for your department, 2) creating a new webpage within your department's website, or 3) creating a friendly URL.For more information on office/department websites, please refer to the Website Policy (BUL - 2424.3)
