The Los Angeles Unified School District is committed to supporting military veterans in tranistioning into a new career in education. Veterans bring a wealth of experiance in small group leadership, training, and real-world application of content knowledge to the field of education. Hundreds of veterans have successfully become teachers with LAUSD.
Human Resources offers the following services to military veterans:
- Fast track application review
- Individual guidance and mentorship through the certification, selection, and placement process
- Access to veteran support organizations that offer financial and career development assistance
