Downgrading IE 11 on a Windows computer:

  1. On Windows Desktop, click the Start button Start Button
  2. In the search box, type: programs and features and press: Enter
  3. A popup window will pops up. On the left panel, click: View installed updates
  4. Scroll down to Microsoft Windows heading and find Windows Internet Explorer 11 (see pic. below)
  5. Right click and click Uninstall
  6. Restart your computer
  7. You should be back with your previous IE version which, in this case, is IE10.
  8. Repeat the steps above as many times as needed to downgrade to your desire IE version.

You'll also want to disable automatic updates.  To do so, just follow these steps:
(IE11 will come up in Windows Update again, and it will be installed if Windows Update is set at Automatic.)

  1. On the Windows Desktop, click the Start button Start
  2. In the search box, type: windows update and press: Enter
  3. A popup window will pops up. On the left panel, click: Change Setting
  4. Under Important Updates, change it to Download updates but let me choose whether to install them
  5. Click OK when done

Downgrading Firefox on a Windows computer:

  1. Go to this page: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox.
  2. Under the heading, I still want to downgrade — where can I get the previous version?
  3. Click Directory of other versions and languages
  4. A list of brower version will be presented, click on the link 22.0/
  5. Choose and click the browser type for your Operating System. (i.e. Windows(win32))
  6. Choose and click the browser language. (i.e. en-US)
  7. Click on Firefox Setup 22.0.exe to download.
  8. Open the file that was just downloaded.  It should be called 'Firefox Setup 22.0.exe'  Once the installer is open, quit Firefox.
  9. Follow the steps to install Firefox 22 on the computer.  This will replace the current version of Firefox, and all of your settings and bookmarks should be in place
  10. After the install is complete, re-start Firefox

You'll also want to disable automatic updates.  To do so, just follow these steps:

  1. While in Firefox, click the Firefox button at the top left of the window.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Navigate to the Update tab.
  5. Under the category 'Firefox updates', select 'Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them.'
  6. Click OK.  Now you will be prompted for updates, but they will not install automatically.  Until this issue is resolved, we suggest holding off on the new version of Firefox.
     

Downgrading Firefox on a Mac:

  1. Go to this page: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox
  2. Choose and click the browser type for your Operating System. Mac (mac)
  3. Choose and click the browser language. (i.e. en-US)
  4. Click on Firefox 22.0.dmg to download
  5. Choose to Open With DiskImageMounter
  6. As soon as the download completes, quit Firefox
  7. Drag the Firefox icon into the Applications folder. Select Replace when prompted. This will replace the current version of Firefox, and all of your settings and bookmarks should be in place.
  8. After the install is complete, start Firefox

  1.  While in Firefox, click Firefox at the top left corner of the browser, and then select Preferences
  2. Go to the Advanced tab
  3. Navigate to the Update tab
  4. Under the category 'Firefox updates', select 'Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them.'
  5. Click OK.  Now you will be prompted for updates, but they will not install automatically.  Until this issue is resolved, we suggest holding off on the new version of Firefox.
